Format
Art Residence in "Vitland" is a place where artists of different branches of contemporary art – designers, architects, writers, musicians – can meet and exchange ideas, discuss, create and experiment on the junction of various art forms.
The Art Residence is a platform for educational and training programs as well as artist workshops. It also strives to become methodological centre which would spread out its experience to other municipalities and regions in the neighbourhood.
Another important area of activity of the Art Residence is promotion and implementation of environmental projects across art and technologies. The project "Second Life" since its launch in 2015 has been involving designers, artists, journalists, writers and environmentalists in residential activities.
Art Residence is also a tourism site where on weekends and public holidays inhabitants and guests of the Kaliningrad region come to spend healthy and active time with their families. On the territory of Art Village “Vitland” is also situated a historic monument – the Cross of St. Adalbert where Christians make pilgrimages to pay the tribute to its memory.

Selection criteria
Art Residence "Vitland" seeks to host ecologically oriented artists working with landscapes and monumental art, but also those who are ready to create a series of works in form of painting, photography, literature and hand crafts.
In the framework of the residential program artists shall be ready to present his project and to conduct a master class for a larger public.

Сonditions of theprogramme
At the end of its residence the participant of the programme shall leave to the organizers three or four graphics or watercolor work. In case the works are made with oil or acryl, the author leaves two works.
Photographer shall provide the organisers with his works in digital format and all relevant copyrights.
In case of further edition of literary compositions the author shall indicate that the product was created as part of the “Art-Residence Vitland” Programme. The texts written during the project may be published without special permission but with obligatory reference to the author.
The Program hosts have a right to use the works created in the framework of the Residential program at its own discretion with obligatory reference to the author.
The candidates for participation in the Programme should fill in and submit a special Application form to the Expert Committee of the Art-Residence. Selected artists are provided with accommodation in the Art-Village “Vitland” for a period of not more than 1 (one) month. Participants from abroad are also provided with visa support. The programme does not cover travel expenses of the participants. Food and working materials are calculated and supplied on individual basis, depending on the project budget.
The Art-Residence offers its professional network to search additional resources and partners for the project implementation. It also ensures media coverage of the selected projects on local and regional levels.

Applications are evaluated and selected by the Expert Committee of the Art Residence.
The decision of the Expert Committee is announced by e-mail no later than 3 weeks after the submission of the application form.
